Rex MD

A men's telehealth brand of LifeMD that now prescribes brand-name GLP-1s, led by the Wegovy pill, and keeps sermorelin inside a lab-first testosterone program with no printed price.

Review by Craig Palmer, peptide pharmacology writer · Updated October 2026

The short version

Rex MD says who stands behind it: its terms name the LifeMD medical corporation paid for the care, and its weight program builds in monthly check-ins. The weak spots are the sermorelin pages, which print no price and give two different schedules, and a weight page whose 20% headline is larger than its own footnote supports.

Rex MD is the men's health brand of LifeMD, Inc., the New York telehealth company whose terms govern the site, and it has been running since November 2019. Its weight line now prescribes brand-name drugs only: the Wegovy pill is the one it prices itself, while the Wegovy pen and the Zepbound vial are bought from their makers at the makers' cash prices. The only peptide it names is sermorelin, sold as a compounded injection inside its testosterone program beside testosterone and Clomid.

What Rex MD prescribes, by goal

Weight

  • SemaglutideFDA-approved
    • Injection (brand)Price not published
    • Oral (brand)From $349/mo

The Wegovy pill is $349 a month for the drug and provider care, a once-daily oral semaglutide at 1.5, 4, 9 or 25 mg, and the page promises that price for every titration dose. A double dagger beside the $349 is never explained on the page. The Wegovy pen goes through the maker's own pharmacy at $499 a month, and the Zepbound vial comes from Eli Lilly from $349 a month. Those are the makers' prices, not Rex MD's. A separate GLP-1 program card says starting at $75 with medication cost not included, and no page says whether a pill buyer pays it on top. Saxenda is named but not priced.

Listed by the seller; no price we hold.

Sermorelin is a compounded injection sold only through the testosterone program, and its page prints no price; the one figure in its source sits inside an HTML comment and never renders. The page header says it is given five times a week, while the same page's FAQ says it is typically injected once daily before bedtime, and neither gives a strength. The testosterone program costs $99 up front for labs and a video consult, then $250 to $299 a month depending on the drug prescribed.

Each “From” figure is the seller’s own starting price, in the unit the seller states. Where a required fee or a package length changes what one month costs, the smaller line under it is our arithmetic, not a figure the seller prints. Compounded preparations are not FDA-approved.

      Who prescribes

      A licensed clinician

The prescribers are clinicians of LifeMD's affiliated medical group, a network of professional corporations. The terms name its lead corporation, LifeMD Southern Patient Medical Care, P.C., as the body paid the medical share of each payment. The weight page quotes Dr. Anthony Puopolo as president of the Rex MD Affiliated Medical Group, which is the only physician name tied to the program. No prescriber is listed by name, so you cannot look up the clinician who will review your intake before you start. The FAQ says the affiliated providers and nurse practitioners are US state-licensed and board-certified, and licensed in the states where they practice. The footer carries a LegitScript seal for the site.

For weight care you complete an online questionnaire, verify your identity and upload photos, and a provider reviews it. The FAQ says many patients never need to speak to a provider, although some states require a live audio or video call. Once approved, the program promises monthly check-ins with a medical provider for progress, dose changes and renewals, and the about page adds unlimited messaging with a care provider. Sermorelin follows the slower testosterone route instead. You answer a questionnaire, give blood at a Quest or LabCorp site or with a home kit, then book a video call to review the results. After you start, labs are repeated at 90 days and every six months, with a video visit at least once a year.

      Are labs required?

      Required, included

Labs are built in rather than optional. The weight program includes the required tests if you have not had them in the last 12 months. The testosterone program, the only route to sermorelin, starts with a lab panel inside its $99 entry fee. It repeats labs at 90 days and then every six months.

What it claims, and what it cites

The weight page headline says the Wegovy pill helps patients lose 20% of body weight. Its own footnote shows what that rests on: in the OASIS 4 trial of the 25 mg pill, 28% of adults lost 20% or more. That makes 20% a threshold a minority reached, not an average. The FAQ quotes an average loss of 15% to 17% in a year and an NEJM trial of injected semaglutide. The company claims are its own and unsourced: over 475,000 patients, about 90% saying Rex MD raised their confidence, and over 90% who would recommend it. The video testimonials carry a line saying the patients were compensated. Two statements about compounding contradict each other. The weight program FAQ says Rex MD can prescribe compounded GLP-1s if appropriate, while the semaglutide FAQ says pharmacies can no longer compound semaglutide.

      How it bills

The FAQ says a treatment plan is charged once you finish the onboarding questionnaire, with a full refund if a provider rules you ineligible. After that, the terms say all sales are final, and prescriptions cannot be returned; the FAQ softens this to case-by-case refund requests. Canceling depends on which page you read. The terms give everyone the phone line and add the member portal and email only for California, New York and some Vermont plans. They also say an order must be canceled within 12 hours of the renewal date to avoid being shipped and charged. The FAQ offers phone, email or the portal to everyone. Shipping is free, by two-day FedEx, with weight drugs sent overnight in cold packaging after three to five business days of processing.
