Hims
Branded Wegovy, Zepbound and Foundayo through state medical groups the terms name. The medication price and a required $149 monthly membership are billed separately.
Review by Leah Garner, clinical-evidence editor · Updated October 2026
The short version
On the clinical questions, Hims publishes more than its price tiles suggest. The terms name the medical groups that employ the prescribers and the pharmacies that fill the scripts. The product pages print a milligram ladder for each injection. The weaker part is the money, because no tile shows what actually leaves your account.

The Wegovy pen is a weekly semaglutide injection, with a ladder from 0.25 mg to a maintenance dose of 1.7 to 2.4 mg. The same page's headline advertises doses up to 7.2 mg. The Wegovy pill is taken daily, stepping from 1.5 mg to 25 mg. A microdosing plan stops at 4 mg. Zepbound is weekly tirzepatide, from 2.5 mg up to 10 to 15 mg. The Foundayo pill, which is orforglipron, is taken once daily, but no milligram strength is printed. Ozempic is offered only to people who meet diabetes eligibility criteria. The Ozempic pill page says it may be prescribed off-label.
Each “From” figure is the seller’s own starting price, in the unit the seller states. Where a required fee or a package length changes what one month costs, the smaller line under it is our arithmetic, not a figure the seller prints. Compounded preparations are not FDA-approved.
Who prescribes
A licensed clinician
Hims & Hers says plainly in its terms that it is not a healthcare provider. The prescribers belong to eight state medical groups that the terms name, from You Health of Alaska to You Health of Texas. The FAQ calls them a network of state-licensed providers. No prescriber is named on any weight page. The doctors the site does name, such as Dr. Craig Primack, its senior vice president for weight loss, are company executives rather than your clinician. The terms name six dispensing pharmacies, including Apostrophe Pharmacy and Curexa. A prescription can be moved between them without asking you.
You join the membership first, then answer health questions that a provider reviews. The FAQ says that, depending on your state, a video visit may not be needed at all. When one is needed, it is a video or audio appointment. The terms list an initial telehealth evaluation and routine clinical check-ins once a month. Visits for dose changes happen as needed, and messaging with providers is unlimited. Dose changes are requested in the app, and a provider writes a new prescription if one is warranted. Some prescriptions go instead to Gifthealth, an outside pharmacy that bills you directly. Those still need monthly medication check-ins reviewed by a provider.
Are labs required?
Not required
No weight page requires bloodwork, and no lab charge appears beside any medication. Hims sells lab panels as a separate product. The terms say any lab test needs a provider's order, and none is described as part of weight care.

What it claims, and what it cites
Each weight-loss figure is tied to a named drug's own trial, and the footnotes say so. The Wegovy pill headline of 32 lbs comes from a 71-week study at 25 mg, where adults lost 13.6% on average with diet and exercise. Zepbound is given as up to 21%, and Foundayo as 11.1% over more than a year. A footnote warns that the products were not compared directly. The health-benefits section is honest about its own limits. Its footnote says the figures come from lifestyle studies, older drugs and bariatric surgery. It adds that they may not reflect the newer GLP-1 medicines. The testimonials carry a note that customers may have been paid and results were not independently verified. One public record belongs beside these claims. On September 9, 2025, the FDA sent Hims & Hers Health, Inc. warning letter 716567 about this site. It objected to compounded semaglutide being described with the same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy, and as clinically proven. Compounded semaglutide is no longer listed on the weight pages.

How it bills
Every price tile is medication only, and the membership is a separate charge that cannot be skipped. It costs $39 for the first month and $149 a month after that. From the second month, a $149 Wegovy pill and the membership together come to $298 a month. The FAQ adds that pricing may vary by dose. Medication is billed monthly or upfront, depending on the plan you are shown at checkout. Either renews until you cancel at least two days before the billing date, in the app, online or by phone. The first membership month is not refundable, and refunds for partly used periods are at the company's discretion. A medication charge comes back only if you cancel within 48 hours of first paying, or two days before a renewal. The medication can go on an FSA or HSA, but the membership cannot. A generic anti-nausea tablet is included at no extra cost if prescribed. Prescriptions sent to Gifthealth are billed and refunded by Gifthealth under its own terms.
