Avono Health

A platform that says it does not prescribe, and names the practice, two lead doctors and four pharmacies that do the work.

Review by Leah Garner, clinical-evidence editor · Updated September 2026

The short version

Avono is open about who does the medical work, and it names the doctors and pharmacies. Its pricing pages are less consistent. One page prints semaglutide at $219 a month and says no bundles exist, while the homepage sells bundles against a $269 monthly rate.

Avono Health is a brand of Avono LLC, and its terms describe it as a digital health platform and administrative service provider. The same terms say it does not practice medicine, prescribe, dispense or compound medication. In plain terms it is a front, a storefront and intake for care that other companies prescribe and dispense. Its catalog covers compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, taken by weekly shot or by daily capsule, a lower-dose microdose line, and NAD+ and sermorelin. Hair-loss and sexual-health products sit alongside them.

What Avono Health prescribes, by goal

Weight

  • SemaglutideFDA-approved
    • Injection (compounded)From $269/mo
    • Oral (compounded)From $299/mo
  • TirzepatideFDA-approved
    • Injection (compounded)From $299/mo
    • Oral (compounded)From $349/mo

The standard program sells compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide as once-weekly injections, or as daily oral capsules. The weight-management page prints semaglutide injection at $219 and tirzepatide at $299 a month, flat at every standard dose. The homepage, however, compares its semaglutide bundle against $269 a month, and this page carries that higher figure. The oral capsules are $299 for semaglutide, the rate the homepage bundle names, and $349 for tirzepatide. No milligram dose is printed for any standard product. How much semaglutide a capsule delivers compared with an injection is not stated on the page.

Longevity

  • NAD+Legal to compound
    • Injection (compounded)From $249/mo
    • Nasal spray (compounded)From $249/mo
    • Oral (compounded)From $249/mo

NAD+ is $249 a month as an injection, a nasal spray or a tablet, each sold on a one-month plan. The product text prints no dose, strength or schedule for any of the three. It calls NAD+ a coenzyme in cellular energy metabolism, and says evidence for many consumer wellness uses varies.

Recovery

  • SermorelinLegal to compound
    • Injection (compounded)From $259/mo
    • Oral (compounded)From $259/mo

Sermorelin is $259 a month as an injection or an oral dissolving tablet. The page prints no dose, vial size or schedule for either form. Its description calls sermorelin a growth hormone-releasing hormone analog that encourages natural secretion, and it cites no study for that.

Sleep

  • SermorelinLegal to compound
    • Injection (compounded)From $259/mo
    • Oral (compounded)From $259/mo

Sermorelin is the product here closest to sleep, and its text makes no sleep claim at all. It says use may need baseline assessment and follow-up monitoring, and that it is not appropriate for some patients with active cancer.

Each “From” figure is the seller’s own starting price, in the unit the seller states. Where a required fee or a package length changes what one month costs, the smaller line under it is our arithmetic, not a figure the seller prints. Compounded preparations are not FDA-approved.

Who prescribes

A licensed clinician

The prescribing is done by outside clinicians, not by Avono. The Medical Oversight page says medical services may be provided by Lion MD. It names the two doctors who lead it, Dr. Ana Lisa Carr and Dr. Kelly Tenbrink, each with an NPI number. That page says more clinicians may be added to the network, and it does not say which of them reviews a given patient. CareValidate runs the intake, the provider review, patient messages and pharmacy coordination. Card charges show on a statement as CARE VALIDATE. Four pharmacies are named: Belmar, Strive, Casa Pharma Rx, and a fourth spelled Epiq Scripts on one page and Epi Scripts on another.

You start with what the homepage calls a two-minute assessment, and a clinician reviews the answers. The FAQ says many members are approved on the assessment alone. It adds that a brief telehealth visit may be scheduled if the clinician needs more, and the oversight page says a clinician may require a video visit. Payment details are taken at intake, but the FAQ says nothing is billed unless a clinician signs off on treatment. After approval, follow-up messaging with the clinician and care team runs through a patient portal. That messaging is included in the monthly price, and no schedule of check-ins is published.

Are labs required?

Clinician's call

No product asks for bloodwork before a prescription. The oversight page says a clinician may recommend lab testing, and the terms list lab charges among the costs you agree to pay. The site gives no figure for what tests would cost.

What it claims, and what it cites

The loudest claim is about pricing itself. The weight-management page says "The price you see is the price you pay" and promises no teaser pricing. Its FAQ also states flatly that there are no three-, six-, nine- or twelve-month bundles. Yet four quarterly bundles appear on the homepage, and the semaglutide one is priced against $269 a month, not $219. The weight calculators make an outcome claim with no source. The homepage slider says a 140 lb person can easily lose 21 lbs. The weight-loss page shows 35 lbs for someone at 180 lbs. Both carry a note that results vary, but neither names a trial or a dose. The testimonials are unnamed, each tagged only as a verified client with a sex. The FAQ says care is available in all 50 states. The compounding answer on the same site says the medication is not available in all states.

Sold by Avono Health, not listed here

Microdose semaglutide and tirzepatide, from $159 a month
A separate program with dosing up to 2.5 mg, sold as injections or oral dissolving tablets. It is not comparable with other sellers' full-dose rows.
Hair-loss and sexual-health products
Finasteride, minoxidil, sildenafil, tadalafil and similar drugs are outside the peptides this site covers.

How it bills

Products come in single-month plans, and the FAQ says nothing locks you in. That one figure is meant to pay for the drug, the prescriber's time, messages afterward and delivery. There is no separate membership and no clinician charge. The standard GLP-1 price stays flat as the dose rises within the program. Moving from the microdose program to the standard one switches you to the standard price. Three-month bundles on the homepage run $699 for injected semaglutide, $777 for the semaglutide capsules, and $597 for NAD+ or sermorelin. Nowhere does the site explain how to stop a plan. The terms only warn that stopping has to happen ahead of a cutoff they will tell you about later. Once a clinician has looked at your answers, the terms treat the money as spent.

Frequently asked questions

Does Avono Health prescribe the medication itself?
No. Its terms say it does not practice medicine, prescribe or dispense. Clinicians at Lion MD prescribe, and CareValidate runs the intake and provider review.
Which doctors are behind Avono Health?
The Medical Oversight page names Dr. Ana Lisa Carr and Dr. Kelly Tenbrink as the leads of Lion MD, each with an NPI number. It does not say which clinician reviews your case.
Is Avono semaglutide $219 or $269 a month?
Avono prints both. The dedicated GLP-1 page gives $219, and the homepage measures its quarterly bundle against $269, so this page lists the higher one.
Will I be charged if I am not approved?
The FAQ says no. Nothing is billed until a clinician signs off, and the statement line reads CARE VALIDATE.
